Celestial Class Starbase - Page 5

I finally upgraded to 3ds Max 9, so here is the station you've been waiting for... sort of. Took me about 4 straight hours, so I hope you like it. I haven't had time to reinstall any texturing programs yet, so it may be a while before I start on those.

The Citadel - Stands in at 4,391 polygons.

While the Citadel looks great I was under the impression that the Celestial only exisits to just below the bottom set of doors. I am not any where near certain though and regardless, it is a beautiful model. I can't wait to see the textures you create

Well, I haven't really seen the bottom of the Celestial, but the Citadel does have 2 levels like that. I also added docks on the inside.

Well, I'm liking this (though I didn't think, nor have I seen anywhere) it having a lower structure, but it's a nice addition no doubt about that

Maybe it will be a three pack of stations now, the Angelic, Celestial, and Citadel...

i think the modelling itself is absolutely wonderful and solid but im dissapointed in the fact it looks like a federation starbase with a ring round it and a couple of pods... and aint the polies abit high for armada?

If it was a ship, then yes, for for a Starbase / Space Dock, 4000 polies is fair.

its definetly a beautifl piece of art, could be a futristic fed station more then a cel one, or even what the cardassians would do to the station if they captured one...

i just upgraded from 8 to 9 and have already made it crash once, hehe

downloading 4 now so i cna covnert proerly cuz im having issues trying to use 5.1
