Warp speed for construction ships How do you make the construction ships use warp speed? |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships The STA2/odf/other/constphys.odf file. edit: Code: warpSpeed = 0 |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships does anyone else want to say "give it a push" or is that just me ??? |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships Do You Whant Warp Speed On All Construction Ships Or Just One |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships What admiral ryan said, will make it apply for all construction ships. And what he suggests is that you change 0 to 240. Just making it a little simpler so he can understand it a little better. |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships I gave it a try but all the construction ships still move at sublight. |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships Hello: You could edit the file: sconstphys.odf in the ODF/Other folder. In that file, change the warp speed factor and you'll be able to move the ship at warp speeds, but it will not warp if you send it to build something. Try warping the ship to the location, and then give it the order to build. I know because something similar happens to the cargo ships I modified. I hope this can help. |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships Nope, that didn't work either. |
Re: Warp speed for construction ships sorry I was a bit tired when I did that other post. It should work how I described, if not, choose the physics of another ship, say the steamrunner as you physics for your ship. To do this add these lines to each const ship odf (fconst, ect. or just replace the existing entry in the const.odf to make all of them have warp.) and add (or replace these lines) in to the files: physicsFile = "scruise2phys.odf" trekPhysicsFile = "trek_scruise2phys.odf" that ourt to make it have warp (but still keep them fairly slow.) I would advice you studying the physics files and how the ship odfs relate to them in more detail if you want to have your own physics files for different ships. |
