| Star Trek Armada 2 : Art of War The first release will be a beta with only the Romulans and Dominion complete and available to play, I am doing this because I wish to see if there is any interest or any areas I could improve. I started this mod because I lost my Armada disk at the time so I tried to remake it on Armada 2, because of this the build times, shields, weapons, resource etc are very similar to A1. Warp is removed, crew is accumulated at starbases only, Dilithium is the only resource. Anyone who has played my Armada 1 Alliances mod will recognise the game play here, similar AI, same research structure and many of the same models. Since I work alone it may not have the content of some of the larger mods but as long as I enjoy playing it I am happy. I also made quite a few new models whilst making it, and some are still to be replaced, for example the Vor-Rexus (large Romulan warbird) wont be in. The AI is a bit crazy for nice calm screenshots, and remember it's still in production but the beta should be ready in a week or two. Spoiler: lastly... This mod is as cannon as the Borg are friendly!!! ... and I hate the feds :P |

| Achilles, I'll get right on it. [edit] Art of War Item confirmed as being up. Now for PP. Likewise Doca, I'll get on yours, however, the last link problem was likely due to human error. I don't believe any ill intentions were meant from it. I'll correct it while I do your piece. [edit] New Releases I also fixed the previous post and have edited both to the mod profile.

| Thanks jolt No, i didn't meant it that way. it just seems the automated script parsing your news to look for urls seems to doesn't recognize the commas in our forum urls. that's why i noticed that. |

| Well, if I am not mistaken, then it has been a while since there was a worthy news post on this project, so here, I present to you the September Update. The first thing I’d like to address, are the species taking part within this project. Ever since the beginning of this modification, there have been multiple changes to which races would actually feature. Not only have I had to think about what playable races to use, but I have also had to incorporate additional races, for use as map units as well. I can now say with certainty, that the following races are those which will be featured as the ‘playable’ species within this project. Listed alphabetically:
There are only eight, and will only ever be eight. I am well aware that the Armada II game can work with more than eight races, but to be totally honest, I see little point. You are only able to have eight player slots, thus I decided some time ago, to only have eight races. Those are the eight listed above. As of this date, this will not change. Now, as some people know (I’ve no doubt there are many who don’t); this project (Zero Hour) has both a website, and forums of its own. Click here to visit the Official Zero Hour Website. Click here to visit the Official Zero Hour Forums. There is quite a difference between the two. The Forums, alike those you’d find elsewhere is used for conversation, notes, spoilers and such whereas the Website is used for all the official decisions. An example would be that only those ships completed will be found on the Website. Of course, you’ll have to navigate to the specific section to see the specific race, and then to see the build list. But no ship will be listed on there of which is incomplete, or of which may change. In regards to race specific news: The Cardassians are practically finished in regards to their combat ships, as are the Federation. For the Cardassians, I am waiting on two ships to be finished, and then it’ll be a simple case of adding in the hardpoints for all the Cardassian ships, and then they’ll be done. As for the Federation, I’ve got all the ships I am going to use, it is just a simple case of working with those ships I do have, tidying them up, adding in their hardpoints, and in some cases, poly reduction is required. Cardassian Spoilers: Spoiler: Romulan Spoilers: Spoiler: In addition to that, the latest two races (the Hydran & Lyran) have yet to be started. Ideas have been placed, and I’ve got them sorted in the storyline department, they just don’t yet have any ships or stations or anything else for that matter. That Ladies and Gentlemen covers everything I have to say for now in regards to Zero Hour. On a different subject, as some people will know, a few members of the ZH team (namely, me and Avon) are in the process of creating a stand-alone Xindi project, to go with your stock A2 game. Whilst this is not yet ready for release, I’d just like to make everyone aware of it. I’ll try to get a Mod Profile up on A2Files for it later in the week. That’s All Folks.
