I'll be honest in admitting I don't like the style of play FO choses (don't get me wrong, I'll try out 3 when it comes out becasue not only do I have something of a duty to try it out, but I just want to see if any changes convince me otherwise) but even I have to hand it to you on that one, looks fantastic. Thus proving that little thread of details will certainly come in handy.

I'll get it up ASAP.

The first "clean" NoCd patch available for Armada 2. An optional NoCD patch, which is available seperate for Patch 1.2. Free of multiplayer problems occouring with existing NoCd patches. This is also intended for Vista and Wine users having problems that their disk is being recognized correctly. It will be available seperate as addon file for the patch

thats also unclear to me, thats why it won't be available in the "standard" package and is not intended for redistribution on other sites. it is meant for people playing armada with linux and wine where the cd detection does not work. i got reports that some people with vista do have that problem too, but i don't have any details about that.

I've talked to a superior and come up with this.

If that feature is what I think it is, which is a NoCD 'crack' for the game, regardless of good intentions (which I believe) we cannot host it for two reasons. The first is that it's an edited verison of the exe, which obviously we cannot host as per rules of the EULA and secondly, we cannot distribute freely, or even at cost, the game exe.

If I'm wrong, please tell me so, but if a file was sent to us with that included, we'd have to reject it. If you were, to say, keep all the other features but drop that, it would be allowable. If you wish to make any ammendments to any news articles, feel free to do so. I won't put up the article until I get word from you.

the package wouldn't have included an edited exe nor would the nocd patch or crack or whatever you like.
still, the news was a bit rushed, someone urged me to pull it out.

anyway, i removed that line, i will think about another way how to solve that issue

Hmmm, you're gonna have to spell it out for me on this one, cannot still entirely grasp it.

As brief as possible but still making sense, what would the contents be for this fix alone and what would it actually 'do'? I'm sure once that is exaplined I'll be able to make sense of it.
