Default Dogs of War Fall Update

Hello A2 community, This is the fall update for Star Trek Armada II Dogs of War. A LOT has happened since the last update. For starters I have added the Dominion to the playable race lineup. I finally have enough ships to have a race comprised of the Breen, Cardassians, and JemHadar. The playable races now look like this:

The Federation
The Klingion Empire
The Romulan Star Empire
The Dominion
The Borg

Secondly, I have gone through and assembeled many, many map races. These include the following:

ENT Federation
TOS Federation
TMP Federation
RomWar Federation
Wolf 359 Federation
PostNem Federation
Future Federation
ENT Klingion
TOS/TMP Klingion
Future Klingion
ENT Romulan
TOS Romulan
TMP Romulan
RomWar Romulan
Future Romulan
Early TNG Cardassians
ENT Borg
TOS/TMP Borg
Future Borg
Rouge Borg
Vulcans
Bajorans
Suliban
Xindi
Tholians
Hirogen
Species 8472
Son'a
Baku
Ferengi
Orions
Orion Pirates
Kazon
Reman
Q
Maquis
and some more!!!!!! TBA

This Mod has been gone over many re-drafts of ships so the final shiplist will come at a later date. I can tell you each playable race will have a minium of 15 combat ships (except the borg) spread over many classes.

In other news I have perfected my upgrade system allowing players to individually upgrade ships which I feel helps with the personalization of feets. Remember Dogs of War will play much differently than other mods and the stock game in that fleet size has been greatly reduced making for almost a "Legacy" style gameplay. Having the ability to customize a fleet can give you an advantage when playing.

I also am working on a more cineractive trailer rather than a slideshow to be released very soon. The last one, I feel didn't do the mod justice.
Also I am working on a small retexture pack for stock ships and stations, though I Don't know when it will be released.

There is still no definate release date, I am thankful for this community's patience in the production of Dogs of War. You won't be dissapointed.

Hello:
This is most amazing!, those ships look great indeed
I specially like the fact that you have ships like the Romulan Draconarius (one of my favourite A2 designs) and that you will include Species8472 too (only as a map race, but included as well ).
Can you put a pic of a 8472 bioship in a later date?, tThat would be great.
Keep up the good work!

Yeah, the Draconarius Class model and textures look really good, as do the Cardassian and Fed ships/stations. I especially like the design of that Federation turret (assuming it's a turret) in the 6th pic down.

Keep up the great work, and I look forward to the next update

Greetings everybody!

The Armada II: Evolution Mod is in progress!

I'm working on the Federation at this time. It's very hard becouse I have to go to university too, but I'm advancing
The History-based techtree is finally complete and the mayority of the ships are also integrated in the game. It isn't complete yet but we have more than 70 ships! I can't tell you exact numbers becouse I have to collect the permissions from all of the modders (for lawyers: Every modder has ius intercedendi in putting their ship in my mod). You know, I'm not good in 3D...

I've finished my database, which contains all of the known shipnames and registry numbers of the Star Trek Universe. I sent it to the a2files admin team os I think you can download it and use it in a few days.

I hope I will finish the first part in a few week and I can release the Federation. Then I will start whit the Borg.

here's a tip, for next time collect permissions before starting the mod. It will make your job much easier. I have not heard anything about this mod other than this post. Can you give us more details?

OK, here you are the wanted details:

This mod was originally a "gift" for my younger brother who graduated in the secondary school this year. I wanted to combinate three mod in the game, The Dominion Ultimate, the Borg Incursion 2 and Ghost's Compilation, and upgrade it whit some ships. And then came the idea:
"Hey! Why can't I build a time-scaled mod from these?"

So as you can see, this will be not my very own mod. As I always say: this will be "a respect for teh modders". So I download the best things from the armada2files.com and combinate tehm in a great mod.
The three mod was the basement, now I'm working on the Federation.

What will be in the mod:
- Federation, Klingons, Cardassians, Romulans, the Borg, the Species 8472, the Dominion and the Breen as playable sides. Maybe I will integrate in the Basement the Tohlians and the Ferengis.
- Few new graphical upgrades (for example: buildbuttons)
- New shipnames: My database whit the real (canonic) Federation names and regs contains 3500 names and 107 ship classes!
- Brand new techtree: I've delete the tech1.tt and I'm writing a new one whit History-based techs. So you start as the Federation from the Enterprise era, then TOS, TMP, the Lost Era, TNG/VOY/DS9 and finally: you arrive in the Future.
- Real and beloved ships from the best modders (That's why I always need those permissions. I'm using other people's ships.)
- New Heroes.

Attention!!! THe mod WILL use the Armada 2 v1.2.4 unofficial patch! I'm trying to make it compatible whit the A2 Upgrade Project.
