Storm3D help

Okay, got a (I think) basic question for you guys; hopefully someone will respond (the forums seem rather dead). I'm new to this modding thing. I'm working on a mod (more for myself than anyone else, but if people show interest, I'll look into uploading it somewhere) to basically rebalance the entire game (ships, weapons, stations, eliminating most special weapons, etc.) to make it a more slow-pased, quasi-realistic, and strategic (quasi, as Star Trek isn't real, lol). I wanted to use Storm3D to find hardpoints for adding weapons, but I can't find a way to actually display them and stuff. So, could anyone help me with this. I tried searching multiple forums and sites, but there was so much crap to filter through it would have taken me an eternity. If Storm3D can't show hardpoints (I thought it did), can someone tell me what to use instead, and maybe where an FAQ/guide is for both? Thanks so much for any help.

Re: Storm3D help

May have been useful to indicate which armada game your attempting to do this for. The Storm3d Editor for A1 will allow you to see the hardpoints on any model. The Storm 3d viewer for A2 will not. However, there is one possibility which is a bit of a long way around but will work. For this method to work you'll need either ASSIMVIEW (although I dont' tend to use it myself), or Milkshape 3d with its appropriate plugin to import the stock Armada 1/2 models. When you load a model into milkshape 3d it has the basic "bones" structure loaded with it (they are more commonly known as joints). From this layout you can see what hardpoints are where.

Just remember, as I said this is a bit of a long way around it.

Okay, thanks. Sorry, I am modding for Armada 2. I did download Assimview, guess I'll try that.
