Football not Soccer!!

What do you call football - Soccer or football?

Well this is basically another color colour thread.

But I call Football football and the thing silly americans call football is merely americanized rugby in my view.

I use the word soccer for football and football for American football when speaking English. I don't care enough about either game to use expressions that only make communicating more difficult.

Football thats what everyone calls it around here exept for my P.E teacher he calls it soccer :/

Though I think Football is a more proper name for it, I call the sport Soccer, because I don't want to confuse anyone over here.

The same for me, I call it soccer because I live in the United States. American football, I just try not to talk about because my team sucks.
