England world cup squad

Right here is the squad england we will be taking to Germany
Goal
Paul Robinson
David James
Robert Grenn
Defence
Gary Neville
Rio Ferdinand
John Terry
Ashley Cole
Sol Campbell
Jamie Carragher
Wayne Bridge
Midfield
David Beckham
Michael Carrick
Frank Lampard
Steven Gerrard
Owen Hargreaves
Jermaine Jenas
Stewart Downing
Joe Cole
Aaron Lennon
Strikers
Wayne Rooney
Michael Owen
Peter Crouch
Theo Walcott
Stand Bys
Scott Carson
Luke Young
Nigel Reo-Coker
Jermain Defoe
Andrew Johnson

Right so that's it i mean come on we all know that rooney probably might not even be able to play and maybe not michael owen so why put on Theo Walcott what hasn't even played any games with arsenal, and Peter he's not really good we should of put Darren Bent on and bring in Jermaine Defoe.
And now the Midfield, Hargreaves he is useless and comes on and does nothing and Aaron Lennon and Stewart Downing why not bring in Shaun-Wright Phillips and Kieron Dyer there much faster in attack and generally better players:mad:

So this ends my case all england Supporters get in this thread :D

Re: England world cup squad

Theo Walcott is a good player, although he lacks experience, the only reason he hasn't played for Arsenal is for one he has had a couple of minor injuries and two, we have needed every point in the Premiership. He scored like 5 in 13 games, when he was 16 for Southampton.

I dislike Darren Bent, I think we should get rid of Crouch for Defoe though. He isn't even good on the ball he's just tall and even though he is tall he can't even head it that well.

My team would be
David James

Gary Neville John Terry Sol Campbell Ashley Cole

David Beckham Steven Gerrard Frank Lampard Joe Cole

Jermaine Defoe Michael Owen

I would play Roonet instead of Defoe if he is fit.

Rio Ferdinand is practically useless these days.
Owen Hargreaves turned crap when he went to Germany, infact he was never that good anyway.
Aaron Lennon ... no.

Re: England world cup squad

Jermaine Defoe is THE worst player ever, he sucks so much for England.

1 goal in 15 caps.

Even Crouch has a better record than that.

Wright-Phillips just runs at things and falls over, nothing much else happens. I'm glad at the inclusion of Downing because I thought he should have been in the squad in all the qualifying matches, it's about time we had a left midfielder who was actually a left midfielder and not some bodge-job replacement.

Re: England world cup squad

Wright-Phillips hardly gets a chance to play, I mean for one he's competing in a Chelsea squad full of experience and he's still young.

Downing doesn't perform consistently enough.

Defoe, his scoring record wasn't incredibly impressive this season but he manages to perform well and break open the defence, also for most of this season he wasn't starting. Previous seasons he got a fairly good scoring record.

Crouch's record in the Premiership is actually worse, only scoring 12 this season.

Oh and Defoe only has like 5 caps and he scored in 1 of them.

What's with Darren Bent? He's, like, the top scoring English striker in the EPL. 18 goals. :(

And Shaun has started many games with Chelsea also, but never managed to score, 3 assists. Could be the worst signing for Chelsea this season.

About Theo..... WTF!? There's a poll in espnstar.com about Sven's decision to bring Theo Walcott to Germany, whether it is a masterstroke OR madness. I'd say master-madness :p
(not that he is a bad player.... he amazes me with his pace)

And yeah I prefer Robinson over James anyday :p

I can't believe that whilst watching Match of the Day on BBC1 last week one of the Soccer Pundits on the show actually said he thought James was a better Keeper than Paul Robinson.

I mean C'mon how on earth could he of ever came up with that sort of comment when James has not once , not twice but several times gone to Jelly in previous International Matches.

He didnt get the NickName 'Calamaty James' for nothing !
