Do NOT take your mask off or wipe the paint off. The refs go apeshit. Other than that just use a lot of cover and team coordination. Make sure you get some good snipers and support fire :)

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I agree i'm on National Coaltion team i got some tips... :)

-[B]use cover
-have other teammates fire some covery frire while u run to another position

Deimos May 6th, 2004 05:49 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Yup, gotta be fast to not get shot. Use teamwork if you can :nodding:. Lol, yes it does hurt the hell when you get shot, big bruises. And yes, don't take of mask, refs go crazy. Post here and tell us how it went. :)

ScOrPY May 6th, 2004 11:28 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Ok, nah i wont get shot.. im stealthy ;) im gonna try to sneak up on people and shoot them at point blank

Blehh May 7th, 2004 11:12 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I think that's against the rules (it was where I played once so I'm not sure where you are) This one guy shot a guy at point blank and automatically got kicked from the round. I think you have to be at least 5 feet away but I'm not 100%.

And we all say we're going to be stealthy but you WILL get hit :) First time's always the worst, but after that it becomes second nature.

And don't be a yellowbelly, leave the armor at home and take the pain :cya:

ScOrPY May 8th, 2004 05:22 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Ill be taking the pain alright... yeah im thinking of how bad it will fell to get hit, if it hurts much or not

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I'm gonna go paintballing for my first time this July with all of my class for someone's party. I've thought about doing it before but, never got around to it. I know I'll get hit but, I don't really care.

ZAXAQUAR May 11th, 2004 08:41 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

you not supossed to shoot at point blank range they usually send you out of the game if you do that.

but what you do is be a navy seal.

silent but deadly is what you need to be.

move quick stay camoflauged stay quiete and conserve ammo.

thats why i have a semi auto JT paintball gun.

also my friend has a piranah.

so what state do you live in anyway because i live in washington if you live in washington too then we should go paintballing sometime

LOL:)

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

its been a long time since i last posted! oh well...

i got my paintball gun....Spyder TL-X, pretty much stock. i want a Revvy tho and a CP barrel. and i got a Mini-Elec airsoft gun.

oh yes,
if any of you are going to get your first pb gun, please dont put a scope on it, or a 21" barrel. trying to be a sniper is a real n00b thing to do. a paint ball really cant travel that far anyway. so go for a Spyder or a Tippmann. not a 500 dollar Armotech Sim-1. thats really dumb and a waste of money

WiseBobo May 13th, 2004 08:03 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

If I ever go paintballing, I will have a gun with a 43" barrel, not 21".

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I do a lot of shooting and have wondered how I would so in paintball. Can you play stealthily? I have always naturally been quiet and quick on my feet and head.

You know what would be even better than paintball? Pepperball!

Edit:
Opps, I am so sorry, I didn't realize this thread was three weeks old, I thought the forum was brand new. :newbie:

BobDole June 10th, 2004 04:58 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Don't worry about it lol at least you are on topic,

I think pepperball would kinda hurta and what kinda gun do you have??

Ensign Riles June 10th, 2004 05:13 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Well, I have my own .22, but we also have two .243s (One was free), and a few various pistols that my dad collected during the Vietnam war.

My favorite weapon that I have ever shot is the M1 Garand.

BobDole June 10th, 2004 05:27 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

LOL I was talking about paintball like what kind of paintball gun do you have

Ensign Riles June 10th, 2004 05:29 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Oh, I don't have any. I have never gone paintballing, but I did get in the crossfire of a game in a dense forest while berry picking when I was about ten. I had no clue what they were, I thought they were poachers so I got out of there real quickly.

BobDole June 10th, 2004 05:31 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I don't either I just use my cousins tippman 98 custom

tyriel June 20th, 2004 12:20 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

a average starter gun (mechanical &/or electronic) is around $120-$200

armor? armor for what? slaying dragons? :-\ if you mean goggles good cheap quality ones are about $15-$30

for paintballs i'd recommend getting a case (2000) balls everytime you play. but thats me and u may be more conservative, all depends on how, where, when u play

you see, i play the back so i'm lobbing paint at 13 (average) bps across the field so, ya i need that 2000

500 balls - $15-$25
1000 balls - $20-$30
1500 balls - $30-$45
2000 balls (case) - $35-$65
(this info is from where I play)
paint prices all depend on where you play, plus the quality of the paint

if you need to find places to play, i know a website that may help you

shimano55 June 20th, 2004 12:57 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

OMG!

ima have to save up awhile to just get the gun...the balls and armor might be more managable...but $120....we'll see what happens..thanks for the thorough description :)

tyriel June 20th, 2004 12:23 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

there is a cheap spyder around $80, a buddy of mine uses it and its pretty reliable

but i'd go with an electro

Ensign Riles June 20th, 2004 12:50 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Look on eBay, I am sure they would have something, though I don't remember if those are allowed. I got the rules and regulations all confused now. :uhm:

shimano55 June 20th, 2004 01:40 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

if your really a cheapskate play with a pump-action gun they like $20 at wal-mart.... its the shit... unless you play with guys that have full auto guns then ur screwed

tyriel June 28th, 2004 11:51 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

dont get a pump, and do NOT buy your gun at wal-mart or k-mart

goto Dicks sporting goods or dunhams they have pb stuff

Jason Bourne June 28th, 2004 11:51 AM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I gotta Tippman 98 Custom w/ stock everything lol but it still gets the job done

and i'm gettin an M9 Military Airsoft Pistol with a mock silencer

Paintball is awesome everyone should play...it may hurt but its worth it

t0y June 28th, 2004 12:56 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

tippmann is a very good gun, and as for tips dont stand straight up when your moving around, try to stay hunched over or crouched, and never expose yourself unless you need to.

Orpheo July 12th, 2004 08:09 PM

Re: Paintball/Airsoft

I like the spyders better they sweet :)
