I don't think the entire internet hates him anymore. Wesley Crusher is universally despised, but Mr. Wheaton is apparently considered to be a fine actor, and an intelligent individual.

Oh now I know who he is from seeing Criminal Minds on that list. He played a motel owner/serial killer. He was chased onto a highway and run down by a transport truck.
