Next time if you install something, either bother reading, or do a custom installation option. It's most likely that this happened because the option of 'install <this> to <that>' was enabled in the install setup.

Yes, but I deselected that. This only appeared after I installed webcammax.

I installed WebcamMax and never saw anything Ask.com installed or changed

ManyCam doesn't listen to your requests. When I installed it, it installed the Ask.com toolbar on both of my windows PCs though I told it not luckily. Luckily, it forgot to switch my homepage both times.
