today we will be learning the origin of a very common word, noob.
There was a child, named Dimarcus. Now you see, Dimarcus was special. He had a problem with saying his long e's and some other disorders that I do not wish to mention for fear of misspelling them.
Now when he came around high school, he wanted to play sports, so he went to go join the football team, and the coach asked him to be a lineman, now poor Dimarcus was a 90 pound weakling, and got mowed down by a 300 pound lineman named George.
So Dimarcus was forced to be a bench guard for the whole season, and when he asked George why, he said because he was a freshman and a newbie, now you may already understand what happened then, but just in case you don't I will continue the story.
Now Dimarcus had no idea what the word newbie meant, so he went home and asked his mom what a newbie was, of course he had to right it down because all he could say was newb, and couldn't say newbie, now his mother, trying to lift him up said that it just meant that he was special, and would have a problem with sports.
Now the last football game came around, and one of the wide receivers was badly injured, and unfortunately, Dimarcus was the only player left, and not wanting to forfeit, the coach put him in, now the quarterback was obviously a glutton for punishment, and threw the ball to Dimarcus, the ball hit him in the face, and the opposing team then caught it, making them lose the game, and as they got mad at him, he yelled out "It is not my fault!!! I'm a newb!!!" Then all of them began to run around making fun of him saying "newb, newb"
The next day he came and murdered everyone on the football team, and when questioned about it, he said "because they called me a newb." This story was then mass produced on every newspaper, only spelled noob, and it slowly made its way into the game world, and into this very forum.
Funny thing is, noob is someone who is so bad he has no hope of ever improving.
While newb is someone who is new, and therefore sucks, but who will improve after practice.
