The job i want to have is video game designer, since i love playing video games, do u want to become one? or are u one?

I want to get into some form of programming, or modeling. I might end up working with other application design, just because video game work is tougher to get into and do so I hear...

I just took an introduction course with C#. Hopefully I'll get to learn C++ sometime soon, or teach myself this summer maybe.

Everybody wants to be a game designer or tester, kind of a flooded market, don't you think?

Maybe. If you're talking about designing concepts and blueprints, I think being a designer is almost a win or lose thing, if you can't wiggle your way in to start, you're kind of screwed. Not really sure though.

Well, programming wise there are big areas to be covered, such as shaders. Tough stuff though. It does seem like a lot of people want to get in, but perhaps many later drop the idea?

Once they realise that not everybody gets to be a cowboy or an astronaut, and that if they do, saddle sores and hollow bones are often the least of your problems, yes.

Mhm. Not quite a free ride. I'm going to try to get professional advice on the matter at some point. I would love to program for games, but I don't know if the extra trouble is worth it.
