 Warning: Phishing sites Hey all. It seems there's phishers coming back around here to honor us with a visit. The latest was a guy named "Smartguy112". If you've received a link from him which took you to a page where you had to enter your password, change it right away. This site is bogus. Tips to avoid being caught by phishers: 1) Always double-check the URL if you've received a link. 2) If something doesn't look right, it's quite possible it's not right. 3) Normally, if you're being linked to a public forum (Pub, General Discussion), you will never be asked for your password. It's viewable for guests too. 4) If you get caught, change your password ASAP. If you get a PM from someone to a phishing site, please make sure you report it to either an admin or supermod. If you see a post, please report it to a mod of the forum (or a supermod/admin) with the report a post button (  ), or via MSN/IRC if the mod is online. Do not repost the link you've been given, as it might fool someone if a long-term member posts it.That's pretty much it, I guess. Carry on. |
