I think there should be something more noticeable when there is a new pm. Something like....

- There's a option of getting an email notification when you get a new PM.
-- Then it's up to your mail system to notfy you in a grand manner.

- You have the option of a pop-up notification if you're viwing the forums when you get a new PM.
