Why are we, or at least I, getting these notices now?
My buddy and I have been having a problem gaming online. In the past, we tried linking up over the internet, but he was unable to connect to my system. I however had no trouble getting to his, and we were advised that the problem was that I was using a router to distribute my internet connection to three computers, whereas he was connecting directly. Unfortunately, now he's on a network too, and we're unable to connect in either direction. I can't imagine we're the first people to have this problem and I've been advised that it IS possible to make this setup work. We're both fairly tech-savvy and would be willing to make some minor configuration adjustments, but we don't want to have to disconnect our networks each time we want to link up. I'm hoping that somewhere out there is a network genius who will take pity upon a couple of old friends who just wanna meet up online and kill stuff (and each other).
