Why is the letter W pronnounced 'double-U'? Shouldn't it be pronnounced 'double-V' instead? I mean, this is a double-U: UU. This is a double-V: VV. Which one looks more like a W? The VV, of course.
And why don't we start doubling-up some more letters to make the English language even more complicated than it already is? We could have AAs, BBs, and most importantly of all, DDs!
