Default Ps3 controller is acting up, anyone know why?

I'm trying to use a ps3 controller on my pc through a program called xpadder, but it is unresponsive for some reason. I was able to use it before, but it's as if it just died on me, when I try to map out the controller keys, it does absolutely nothing.

I figure the thing ran outa juice, so I re-plug it in to recharge, the led's flash for 30 seconds and then stops... which means its batteries are full, right? Even if it were drained, wouldn't it be powered by my computer while its plugged in my usb drive?

I've also resetted the controller with that pin hole, didn't help.

I'm so confused... someone please help me get this thing running again.

Batteries could have gone bad. If that's the case, you're going to have to buy a whole new controller.

EDIT: Also moved to PS3 forum.

Do you have a PS3? If so, can you get it to work with the PS3?

Yes sir, I just dug it up from the closet just to test this controller out.

Seems that the batteries are charged and it works perfectly fine on the ps3, both wireless and with the usb cord.

So it worked on the pc (xpadder) last week, and now it doesn't.... The computer makes that (dun-dun ) sound when the controller is pluged in... but the buttons dont do anything when being pressed.

I guess i'll start reinstalling, but if that doesn't work, does anyone have any ideas?

Ok reinstalled, I found out that I can map the controller buttons but there is some serious lag, it takes 10 seconds for when the button is pressed, to when the program recognizes it... when it should normaly be done right away.

This isssue is non-existent when using my ps3, so WTF?!

The problem is the computer than. A lot of those third party programs that say you can use your PS3 controller never work, I've tried a few myself, and have received no results.

My PS3 controllers work fine using windows 7 just plugging them in, they are automatically detected, and works just fine with Dead Rising 2, perhaps uninstall that program.

AHHH FINALLY figured it out, after like 4 hours of searching

I needed to install ps3 drivers, I must have deleted the old ones a few days ago, for some reason. Now I can finally get back to my racing games

Thanks anyways fellas, and mihail, congratz on having the most annoying avatar in the internet.
