| Lately, I've been thinking a lot about Playstation 3 and Xbox360 I am currently in possession of an Xbox360 Premium, but the Playstation 3 has got me very curious. What do you guys think? Should I keep the Xbox360 and keep playing or sell it, and purchase a Playstation 3? Share your thoughts! I might as well post my reasons to why I've been considering at all: *Free network playing on the Ps3 *A lot of lags and this often happens on the(my?) 360: A message comes up which says "The disc is unreadable, please clean, blahblahblah" *Bigger space on the Ps3 *Pretty much none of my RL friends have the 360, I want to play with my mates! |

| It's a matter of money. Don't have enough for both. Wish you could eat the cake and have it, don't you?

| The biggest reasons to switch would be your mates, and the available games. If you prefer the exclusives on the PS3 to those of the 360, go for it. All the multi-platform games you already like will still be available to you, you'll just lose out on the 360 exclusives. And you'll get to play with your mates. If that's enough for you to make the switch, then make the switch. If it's not, then don't. You can always save up your money and buy a PS3 later on. The other considerations, be they hardware specifications or even the price of network access, aren't as important, if at all.

| I'd have to say the PlayStation 3. It's a lot more flexible for one thing- you can hook up external hard drives for extra memory if need be, there is no limit as to how many Trophies a game can have (there is a strict limit on the number of Achievement points of a game with the Xbox 360), and there are special features in games that you can access only with the PlayStation 3, such as in-game web browsing, or 'save game analyzers' (in Burnout Paradise, at least: Save Game Analyser). I've had enough problems with the Xbox 360- Red Ring of Death, corrupted save files, etc etc. Me, I am slowly transitioning away from the Xbox 360 and going to the PlayStation 3. Only reason I'm keeping the 360 is for the exclusives bound to come out, like Gears of War 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

| I have an Sony Playstation, it has great screen resolution, expandable, good selection of games. Good battery life and remaining battery indicator. So i suggest you'd better go for it. Last edited by cleanfloor11; September 11th, 2009 at 04:01 AM.. |

| I haven't played my PS3 enough to have a true basis on this comment, but I believe that PS3s are far better built than 360s. Multiple RRoDs from my 360 have now given me reservations about replacing my console with a new one (a refurbished one from MS will just fail like the rest). My brother just bought a brand new 360 arcade version which may have the new chipset, so I'm waiting to see if it will fail before committing to a replacement 360. I do have a problem with my BluRay drive at the moment that actually have cleared up, and I also am having some trouble with HD problems (But only because I removed the HD and had to wallow the blue screw out because it was way too tight). Still, I think PS3s are way better made. I continue to be surprised how an inferior-quality console well outsells the PS3 and that developers choose to go with the 360 (easier hardware, I know). I know it has good games and people like its online services more, but Live comes with a small subscription price and you can't enjoy those games when your system breaks frequently. Anyway, since most of the major games are multiplatform, I would go with a PS3. Good quality overall, and you're not missing much not having Live silver. You may miss skill-based matchmaking, though.

| I would choose Playstation 3. Sony might introduce a new 'PS3 Slim' for the holyday season with a price cut. Be patient. |
