..For Haze.

Many of you know that Haze, developed by Free Radical Software, was destined to be a PS3 Exclusive title that has been harped on for a long, long time. While I don't own a PS3, I played the demo when I spent the night at a mates place recently and wasn't all that impressed by what I saw. After reading this review by IGN (don't flare up), I'm going to have to agree with a majority of what it says.

While IGN are very biased and tabloid with a lot of their work in recent times, I say a fair call with what the review says. Either way, decide for yourself.

I wasn't all that impressed with the demo either (I played 2 minutes and deleted it promptly), still, it was a demo and I gave it the benefit of the doubt. In all, I can't say there was anything that really "wowed" me about Haze, to me its just another shooter pushing some little superpower trait and story twist. Sorry Haze-makers, but I'll keep playing CoD4 and GTA4.

Well, the first trailer in all honesty looked pretty awesome. But then all the previews, gameplay vids, interviews etc watered it down.

A lot of Sony fanboys are blaming the hype for such a shit game, yet, hype doesn't make the game shit. It only makes you a fool for believing it.

I'm glad I never understood what all the hype was about for this game in the first place. And it doesn't really surprise me hearing this since PS3 fanboys will hype any game to death as long as it's exclusive.

I've heard the same about Microsoft nut-huggers and their "precious" Halo, Mass Effect and Gears of War (the latter two prior to their respective PC releases).

Way to look like an idiot. In my experience, 360 fanboys are the worst when it comes to hyping games, system, anything. The PS3 comes across as an elitist console sure, but those that praise Microsoft's rushed console are several steps below on the food chain. With good reason.

I always thought "It looks like nothing special at all" when I was watching the videos and stuff for it, so I wasn't surprised it was a let down. Yeah the whole nectar thing was new and interesting, but that wasn't really enough to make it stand out surely, I thought.

What I was surprised at was the hype behind it, but then I realized that it was one of those titles that was supposed to sky rocket the Ps3 into something worth paying for, so of course it was hyped to death by the fan boys. Heh, unlucky chaps, another disappointment for you.

In your experience? What planet did you "experience" that on exactly? I always thought the opposite personally, and it's mainly because of the very reason that this thread exists. The Ps3 simply does not have nearly as many decent exclusives on it, so any that look remotely decent receives hype that is elevated to an art form.

Lol okay what do you base that on. More games, better games, better online play. If that's "below on the food chain" then I guess that tuna fish eat sharks all of a sudden.

Oh and I don't know how the Ps3, the inferior console, comes across as elitest to anyone. Elitism and fanboyism are two different things my good man.

Yeah your games aren't as good, there aren't nearly as many, and the online play is limp, but hey at least you have a blu-ray player?


I'll buy one when some good games actually come out for it. Let's hope the new MGS doesn't wind up with a big fat disappointment sticker on it as well. LittleBigPlanet looks neat too.

For one thing, ZeRo old buddy, you're not doing a good job at defending your case by jumping out with assumptions; incorrect ones at that. In fact you're just proving Flodgy's point to be true.

Your claims are incorrect (except for the one about the 360 having more games, right now, in 2008) but you're free to think whatever you want. I should let you know however that adding them in a pointless 'fanboi' debate makes you look arrogant and stupid. Don't take it personal, but come on man, is MS paying you to spew bullshit or is it just something you enjoy doing? :rolleyes:

I've yet to experience any issues or problems that 360 fanbois claim plagues the PSN. I've been playing GTA IV MP almost every night since it's release and I've had no issues at all. There is no real difference between the PSN and Xbox Live other than the market place and the MSN messenger addition really. Can I connect to games with my friends? Yes. What else do you want? I mean to me that is the point and all that matters. More importantly, it's free, as it should be. There is nothing about Xbox Live that makes it worth the $50 a year. Nothing.

Remember; I have both consoles and to be quite honest here bro the PS3 is the better system. In fact when was the last time you've seen me online on my Xbox 360 since our Halo 3 days? You haven't. It's become a dust collector pretty much and it has nothing to do with being a fanboi at all, but the fact that I've been enjoying the PS3 a lot more because it's a better gaming console; for me anyway. It hasn't let me down and I can go on and create a list like you did about where the PS3 wins and the 360 fails, but I won't. That's pointless and the real information is out there. I don't need to preach it, and you know how to find it.
