Sof2 loading probs

Hey guys i recently had a problem with my sof2 mutliplayer. Everytime i tried to start it up it would just freeze up at the loading screen. I had to end task it each time due to it not responding. i then did it a couple more times with the same problem. so finally i just restart my computer while still in sof2. It completly reset all of my preferences as well as my cd. I didnt care to much so i tried activating punkbuster from the multiplayer menu and my game froze up again. i then said the hell with it and uninstalled the game completly only leaving a few files like my osp and sneaky folders and some real damage mods as well as my pb folder. I do not have my game with me as it is being borrowed by a sibling but im just worried that the same thing may happen again if i try to install my game again. i am using windows xp home btw and have never really had a problem with sof2 since this. if any1 has had the same problem can u pls shed some light on the subject id appreciate it thanks.

Ok, I see it shouldnt be a problem with your hardware.

I noticed that you still have some files left in the directory.
Delete them, and the entire directory. Once you get the CD back, reinstall.

I am 56k too so i feel your pain bro

No need to delete those files. Why not just create a directory called sofbackup or whatever and move the files into there until you got it working??? You should have plenty of disk space so no problem there. :agreed:

well i delteted the entire directory but kept some of the important files like my pb, osp, sneaky, and my maps still in tact on the desktop i just got to get through the next couple of days without sof2 :(

Keep the custom PK3's and the Mods

Just stick them in a folder on your desktop.

When you download the 1.03 Gold FULL patch, Save it to your desktop
