ATTN: Everyone worried about AIMBOT and Raven

well, a couple of us were in a game the other day with someone obviously using aimbot, not only was he getting head shots left and right but he openly admitted it and said hes using other peoples legit names so they get blamed not him..., anyway thats not was put me off...what put me off was the fact this guy said he was working on the punk buster project AND he said hes going to put a loophole in it so hacks can still play how they want WHAT THE FART IS THIS? maybe the guys here that are in charge and/or run the board can contact raven or the team working on the new patch and alert them this is fuckin ridiculous! Same reason i never bought CS its pathetic. See ya

I dont know if its just me, but there seems to be alot of cheats going around e.g Wall-Hack,Aim Bot etc

Also if and when this Punkbuster comes out and there are people who developed it are in on cheats...it will be a waste of time to even download the 1.02 patch cause cheats will be nothing to it.

All we can do is wait for the new patch... and in the mean time report all possible info about cheats to research@evenbalance.com (these are the guys who are making the anti-cheat-system for Raven)!

Firstly if you use someone elses name, they wont be banned. Its the CD key and IP address that gets banned. Not the name. You can fake the name, but not the IP address

Secondly, do you think that people working on the punkbuster project will acctually be cheating and putting loop holes into the patch? It was some punk out there who is just chatting out of his backside

Punkbuster will put a stop to the cheats there are out there now. But it is possible that in the future more cheats will be developed and PB will be updated then

Its are best hope for putting an end to cheating.

You shouldn't worry about this kind of thing and get all upset when someone tells you this.

Heck, I can tell you right now that I am actully superman, And would you believe me? This person may or may not know what he is talking about, but worrying about it just makes it more fun for that person. Laugh at them and go somewhere else, Thats all you have to do.

I have yet to see anyone cheat online, so this means that there are servers out there where people who do not cheat play. You just have to look for them. But they are there.

Hello everyone.

Let me lay your fears to rest. Whoever this person was that was claiming to be part of the PB team is just plain lying. Our team is in no way involved in cheating, of course some will say anything to try to discredit us, can you expect more from a cheater?
PunkBuster has a solid reputation and history, id would not have worked with us on RTCW (and soon Quake 3 Arena)if this was not the case, nor would Raven would have chosen to work with us for SOF2.

I would not say that our work with CS was useless, it did have an impact and it did work but we could not develop PB for CS further without support from Valve, and they were not interested in giving us that since they decided to work on their own anti-cheat. You may or may not be aware that PB for Return to Castle Wolfenstein has been out for quite some time now and has been a success.

I hope that helped to clear things up for everyone.
