I am really mad right now cause I have come accross 3 people that have been using cheats!!! e.g wall-hack and radar

It is getting out of hand by the minute and before long SOF2 will be unplayable because of all the cheats that are going areound.We need some despret help to cut out on these fucking cheats!

I insist that people who use cheats are nOOb's that have no skill!

I myself am a very good player and as soon as I start to build up my score I get told Im cheating

And yeah i've been accused of cheating 2, though i didn't even cheat in SP and don't need it in MP.
When i get called aimbot i just consider it a compliment.:lol:

It doesn't matter what game you play or what server you play on, there will always be somebody who points the finger and cries CHEATER! I even had somebody come to my own server and accuse me of cheating. Why would I cheat on my own server? Nobody would play on it if I did. Peeps need to get it together and have facts before they cry wolf. I will admit there are cheats out there and some peeps using them, but many are so quick to judge just cause somebody better than them killed em. I can't wait till punkbuster comes out as it will slow down the accussations, but cheats will always be there and there is nothing we can do about it. :(

When this punkbuster does comw out...How long will it be before these hackers or cheat makers find away around it? 3 days,1 week

I say that the next patch must have a tool that anyone running any kind of scripts or cheats get banned for life from that server, or they put a special serial code on eack cd-key and if that person is caught using scripts and that, the serial number will be banned from all server :)

Yeah all true, still there are some obvious signs.
Like a kill/death ratio of 55/0 is a dead give away.
I admit i like the sound of it but such a score can only be reached if ur a basecamping sniper with a shitload of ammo.
As far as i know there aren't many AK or M4 users that get such a score without cheating.
And cheaters are just 2 sad for words here.
Cheating in SP is fine if you're REALLY stuck somewhere and have tried everything.
Cheating in MP is sad and should be rewarded with a lifelong ban from the server u cheated on.
That'll teach those saddo's.
If you think someone cheats, keep an eye open for them, either by spectating the suspect or following him.
If they DO cheat, take a screenshot and send it to the server admins.
They will know what to do, i hope......

I often use the M4 or AK74, on some levels I prefer the sniper...but then I drop it and pick up an M4 or AK

The best score I got I think was 23/12

I Have been keeping a very close eye out on some people, but some of then when you say like (Nice radar you got there) they say LoL and then come up with some stupid thing like, I herad them coming or I saw him coming. The thing that really pisses me off is that you know they are using cheats. Everyone else agrees, but Kick voting is disabled! I say that every server should have kick voting enabled cause it is up to the people playing on the server weather or not a player should be kicked!:mad:

Pretty nice score for a AK-user.
My best is like 20/6 offensive sniping and 32/4 defensive sniping.
Well if i had counted the times i heard aimbot in those matches, or any other good round....
Or camper though i kept moving, but i was 2 far away to be seen.
Anyways i believe there should ALWAYS be kick voting enabled and a admin watching all players, but unfortunatly that is wishfull thinking.
And cheating in MP is just as bad as teamkilling so PLEASE enable kick vote so those saddo's can be removed and at best banned.

It's understandable Red_Carnage why you want voting enable, but peeps take advantage of this option. I had this enable once on my server till some peep tried to kick me for cheating on my own server. That was the one and only time that will ever happen. I have since then given certain peeps admin to watch my server and keep an eye on it for stuff like that. But like most admins they don't want that to happen on there server cause there is a sore loser playing and wants to get revenge by having somebody kicked.

Yeah but u can't u disable kickin the admin or observer ?
Cuz cheaters and TK-ers SHOULD be kicked and simply good players shouldn't.
Aaah well if it isn't there someone will find a way to disable kicking admins or observers, someone will think of something to fix it.
I still hope punkbuster will get rid of cheaters, even if it is for a little while.

Unfortunately when voting is enable anybody on server can be kicked. You can stop the vote, but sometimes it goes so fast you have no idea what hit you. I wish it was possible to disable the kicking of certain peeps. Hopefully PunkBuster like everyone says will resolve most problems.

If you are the admin of the server, you will not get kicked...or no one can call a vote to kick you. This is what we need in the patch is ways to prevent things like that happening

Also you said you were voted off of your server for cheating, were you. Cuase people who play on there own server already have an advatage cause of there ping! Its local so its like playing a lan match, but to cheat on your own server??? Thats taking it TOO FAR!

No I wasn't cheating. I was connect to it through the internet, not locally so my ping was 30-40. It does give you a little advantage when everybody else is around 100+, but not much of an advantage. I've been playing the game since day one so my regulars know I play fair and don't cheat. I have also been playing fps for 2 years now, so I don't exactly suck. It's when you get a new person to the game on your server and they have a short fuse and try to kick you cause you killed them. I just laugh and so does my clan when somebody accuses me of cheating now.

You see, that the thing. You are on your own server and you cant even play freely without some jerk face crying "Cheater!!!". Sometimes I just wish that you could give the guy a clap around the head...lol

Damn!! pings of over 100! I regularly get a ping of 18-20. If it goes higher than 38 I usually give it up as a bad job. I connect normally to the Blueyonder servers as BY is my ISP and I am on 1mbit cable modem. Until I read this post I didn't think I had owt special.... bugger me..

Punkbuster is not a very good cheat prevention program, I remember a couple years ago when you had to have Punkbuster to play on almost every server in CS, this only lasted a couple of days though. It was easily hacked and every update after that was also easily hacked. Plus there was the problem of punkbuster crashing comps and games, and dropping FPS. I don't know if PB is the direction Raven wants to go, but who knows maybe PB has cleaned up it's act since then.

For ravens sake, I hope it does work. But I just got that feeling it wont. Then what do we do if it all freaks out and SOF2 becomes a cheating heaven...not htat it isnt already:mad:

Ok I use headphones when I play SoF2 and I have the volume turned the fuck up, like WAY up...I can totally hear soemoen coming, like exactly, form behind walls, behind doors, above me, below me, to teh left, to the right, if they're in my hearing radius and not walking/crouching, I can hear it...and i use this to my advantage all the time...so that's bullshit...i'd hate to be on a server, hear a dumbass come running around a corner and blast him, then be accused of 'cheating'...dude, you needa better excuse to call someone a cheater...:cya:

Ok...it is sometimes just skill to look in hiding places,but to know where people are every time is just plain cheating.

The thing about CS is when punkbuster was introduced it was a separate program that ran external from CS. Which means it was easier to hack and bypass. Punkbuster is now going to be installed directly into the Sof2 coding which will make it more effective. It is currently being used in Return to Castle Wolfenstein and is working quite well. There will always be a bug when something new is implemented, that is why there are patches. You should go to the punkbuster website and actually read up on the software. If you don't like punkbuster you can always try to find a server not running it. Everybody seems to always compare punkbuster to CS, yes it was a flop as Half Life would not give them any support with the software coding. Kinda hard to build a car from scratch without any blue prints.

I totally agree with you, but there is always a risk that within the forst couple of days SOF2 will be hacked. My dad was looking for a =n AIMBOT on a cheat Forum and he found it and got it for free. It just shows that the cheats are out there and what can stop them in their tracks for good?
