Help with downloaded Maps !!

Can someone please tell me how to properly open up a downloaded map? I have downloaded both AMPV1.zip and AMPV2.zip, opened them up in my base directory as suggested and then nothing happened. When I checked further, I noticed I could open up the inlcuded AMPV1.PK3 (or AMPV2.PK3) files further, but that gave me *.bsp maps, whereas when I try to get into a server, they are looking for *.pk3 maps?????
I also noticed opening up the AMPV1.pk3 into the appropriate directory structure placed the maps in the /base/map directory where as the included text files suggest installing into the /base directory, so I copied the maps in the /base/map directory also into the /base directory, and still nothing works (mind you, these are all listed as *.bsp maps in both places).

Obviously, I must be doing something wrong, can someone please tell me how I get from *.bsp maps -> *.pk3 maps (individual maps?).
Thanks in advance.

Here Are The Steps To Downloading A Map:

1. Download A Map
2. Once The Download is complete open the map with winzip
3. Know extract the map to your SOF2 base folder.

???? 1st of all... pk3 files r not maps, .pk3 contain graphic files.. .bsp files r map files.. thus u need .bsp and u got em as u say. now on ur base/mp dir create a folder named maps not map... maps k? put the .bsp files in there and u should have no more problems. so ur local url should say base/mp/maps

Help with downloaded maps !!!

Blackhawk and N.A.T.O. Forces, thanks.

But I did unzip according to the directions and it did place them in the appropriate sub-folders (I may have said "/map" instead of "/maps"), and the *.bsp files are there. But whenever I go to a server that has these new maps, they start to download the same name map, but with a *.pk3 ending, as one of those supposedly in the extracted map pack???
