< <UK> >Snipers SOF2 Sniping Clan

The <<UK>>Snipers exists for our members to have fun, to share a common interest, to provide competition and to be a source of comradeship. The <<UK>>Snipers clan prides itself on its policy of fair play and intolerance of cheating.
The Clan started life back in March 2004, when one of the original members Frank Spencer bought a copy of SOF for his Daughter and created a server, came up with the name <<UK>> and because he preferred Sniping – he named his server <<UK>>Snipers. He ran this on his own PC and before long he had a few regular’s, S@S, Finger, Someone, Darkhorse, Jarvis, Mental, S@F, thus the Clan was born. The Clan then got a dedicated server, then more and more members, growing into the Clan it is today.
Because S@S was into mapping, he must have generated interest within the clan. Because at one point we had at least 6 mappers making <<UK>> maps. This is no disrespect to the other mappers, but the most famous maps are those made by S@S and Slavo. I don’t think there are many custom servers not running one of the maps made by these two. Slavo is still mapping today.
The Clan has had far too many members to name them all, so apologises for those who don’t get a mention, your contribution has been and still is appreciated. We have had members from all over Europe – UK, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Slovakia, and Denmark, Even had members living in Canada and S@S of course moved to New Mexico with his wife Mental. So it’s always been a very multi national clan.
This strongly confirms the fair but fun ethic’s the clan has always had. Yes we play to win, no matter if it’s just a random night on the servers or if it’s an organized Scrim, but the result is not important to us, we play for the FUN side of the game more than the winning.
We as a Clan have made many close connections with other SOF2 Clans, :::TI:::, Blue Zone, FC, E*E, $T, United, Muzik, Dragon, LoS the list goes on and on. Plus I’m sure the <<UK>>Clan is known to most other SOF2 clans, especially the Sniping ones. It is through this community that the game is still going today. So big thanks to all those who are keeping this game of ours alive. The Soffiles staff and especially Goody need a special mention, thx guys.
The clan stayed totally loyal to SOF2, even though many newer games where coming out, BF2, COD2, which saw a lot of clans moving across to them games. However since the release of COD4 and the latest COD5, we have also started servers for both these and play these games as well. So we are now a multi gaming clan, but our roots are SOF2 Sniping and as long as the <<UK>>Snipers are around and there are folk playing SOF2 we will always have a server and support the game as much as possible.
We look forward to meeting all you Soffers on a server very soon and remember you are always welcome on our server.
