Roc Mod Server Question Hi, my clan just started our SOF2 Division, I have a question reference remote admin, if we use rocmod, can our people remotely admin the server, and if so, what needs to be done on the physical server side for us to be able to do it. Thanks! |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question You can get a program called " sof2rcon". You can get that by clicking >>> HERE <<< You just install, put in the ip and the rcon password and away you go. Hope that helps. |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question You are the man sir!! I am at work--i cant look at it now, but does it have a gui--also--do you know where i can find a list of commands and what they do?? Thanks again!! |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question You can find all the rocmod commands/cvars in the docs folder within the rocmod folder. For other server commands see here. Also the rocmod forum wich might come in handy to you clicky :). PS...If you use the program that Merrick linked to dont use the server messaging option, Other than that great little application. |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question You could always rent from a hosting company that has GUI web interface for server management. |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question We have a server already, so renting no good-- I will use this RCON, as we use RCON for our CODUO servers --wroks good--will check that list of commands too---ONE MORE---Can you change the host name from RCON or does it have to be done at the server--i.e. our server says WFC on the list I want it to say WFC Recruiting or something, can i do that with RCON or deos it have to be done on the box? Thanks! |

I think you need to understand why you haven't gotten any help yet ... NOBODY has seen your post till now. Best advice i can give you .... RELAX> |

Thanks!! |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question To use ROCmod, the server must be restarted with a "+set fs_game rocmod" command line option. This cannot be done with rcon or FTP, but must be done either directly on the server, or with a remote administration tool that allows you to run processes on the server. My understanding as far as SoF2Runner goes is that you would need a special version of SoF2Runner that is compatible with ROCmod. Also, and I do hope this isn't considered advertising, but I've recently submitted a slightly modified version of ROCmod 2.1c with two extra "tension breaker" gametypes called "ROCmod 2.1c-swarm". It's available on SoF2Files. |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question I was afraid you were going to say that :( Now the line you are reffering to can be added by right clicking on the short cut and putting that in there next to the exe---correct? I was reading about the special sofrunner, the links seem to be dead, I dont know where to get the version. I saw your roc mod-- I will check it out, and poss use that one instead. I am trying to get this all done at once, becasue our clan has mutiple games, on multiple servers, I dont know what it would take to have the game server restarted, and I only want to have to do it once LOL  |
Re: Roc Mod Server Question OK .... i have a guy who knows a guy who does this thing with something.... Well to make this easy to understand .. I know someone who can solve all your problems. And if you are renting a server you would be better off going with whom i know anyways. You won't need sofrunner and it will be simplicity running your server. PM me if you would like more information. |
