Default Mapcycle size

Hi everyone, I was just wondering is there a limit to the number of maps you can put in a mapcycle. Right now I am running a 71 map mapcycle. These aren't 71 different maps but various maps in different orders and gametypes.
Is a 90 or more map rotation too big? Thanks.

I would of thought a 71 map cycle was too big, you would need to spend some time on the server to play all the maps

It can be done. I had over 100 in a cycle before. It is a good way to mix in popular maps with some less popular without having to hear people whine about maps they dont like.

I dont think the number of maps matter. It is probably more the size (bytes) of the mapcycle file itself... most configs and similar files have a maximum of 16384 bytes, so i wouldnt be surprised if that would the same with the mapcycle file.

GODH ..good to see you haven't left ... for you .....
and yes he is correct ...it is not the amount of Maps in the config but the amount of Bytes of information that the config can hold. above and beyond the stated amount will have you either crash or reset to the beggining after playing to the amount.
