i had the same error about 2 weeks ago, just reinstall the game, and get a thing called Wiser2 to check if all your files are fine. I dont know the specific link but i know someone on here can provide it for you.

I am pretty sure that this error occurs when you try to run a mod that was made for 1.03 Gold on an older version of SOF2 (1.00?)...

nah it happened to me when i reformatted comp, and installed it back on, as soon as i went in, to access menus or leave hte game, i had ot right click. And i would get that bad ui system error when i went Join Server, so dont think mods.

Well, it IS a well known error that occurs in the situation described by me... but maybe there are more situations that cause this error??

I seem to remember having his problem AGES ago (complete with the right click thing). It was nothing to do with any mod but I'm damned if I can remember how I solved it. If the solution comes to me I'll let you know. Sorry I can't be more help yet.

Re: Bad UI system trap 179

just check all your files and see if all the sizes of the files are right and stuff. just do this by going through your cd and see if the files that were copied were not screwed up and were fine. i had that problem where some of my files were bigger or smaller then the ones on the cd, so just copy and pasted them over it... fixed.
