Ill try to make this the most understandable as possible...

I had regular sof 2 double helix and then i got this patch v. 1.03 gold full and i installed it and almost everytime i go into a game i can play for a bit but then it freezes and a get a error report(just one to send to microsoft) it doesnt tell me what the problem is and i wanna be able to play sof2 with the new patch not just regular old sof2?...if anyone could help me to why this is happening or showing me how to fix it that would be greatly appreciated!!:notworking: im a noob on the new patch version of this game but i have been playing the original game for about 3weeks now..so if im just being a retard and theirs somthing easy to fix the problem tell me...but i really would like to get this problem fixed as soon as possible!! I am pretty sure that you have a problem with Punkbuster... but there are several reasons for the freezing:

* PB must be up2date. If you are behind a router you must open port 20112 otherwise PB cant update itself
* PB client must be enabled to play on PB servers. You can do this via the console: pb_cl_enable
* PB uses 2 ways for scanning for cheats. This can be set via the pb_system cvar. Possible values are 0 (slow) or 1 (fast). If PB is already up2date then check your setting and change it to the other one (0 becomes 1 or visa versa)

If you have problems opening port 20112 on your router (or maybe you dont have a router) then try to update PB manually: first grab the latest version of pbweb.exe and place it in your SOF2/PB directory. Then run it (pb client must be enabled!)... if your run it for the 1st time it can take awhile, but when finished you should have an up2date PB :beer:
