PB GUID AUTH UNKN error in playing my own server
 

I am having a problem playing my own server using SOF2Runner. :uhm: What happens is i clicj run on the sof2runner, then load sof II multiplayer. I go to local and i see my game. When i load it, it works fine, then 2 seconds into the game it has an error, i get disconnected. It says punkbuster has banned u for 0 minutes because of PB GUID AUTH UNKN. I went to the punkbuster website and it said if this error occurs, it means that punkbuster hasnt authorized your cd-key. I know my cd-key is valid, it works on all the games i join that i havent made. So what is wrong? Can anybody help I really would like 2 create my on server and actually play on it. Thanks. Ben

Disable PB on your server.

Okay thank you very much :) the server works now... but the game only shows up in local. How can I get it so other can it in the internet and join in? because i think no one is joining because the server is only found in local. THanks, Ben :cool:

Did you check the sof2runner to see if it was on dedicated to Internet?




Also, sometimes depending on the port will show up in both Local and on the Internet for others.

Try making a deathmatch then looking for your server.

on sof2runner all i see is pure server.. there is no option for deicated to the internet... at least i dont no where it is. Canu help me? Ben :cool:

goto MISCELLANEOUS in sof2runner, there is a section there which u need to click,LISTEN,INTERNET,LAN......make sure internet is checked.
And when u start sof2 multiplayer,make sure INTERNET shows above the internal browser.

okay thanks.. now my server does show up on the internet list, but there is no telling that anyone else can see it b/c i join in my own and no one else joins, i dunno if people cant see my server, they cant join, or they dont want to. any sugestions? Thanks, ben

lol im pretty sure my serve ris called United Alcoholics... but its not on 24/7 :uhm: so... i guess if u can find ull be lucky, and o yea its a deathmatch on the shop under siege map. :cool:

to avoid lag i have named the server High Speed DsL++ Only... and the max ping is 115 ;) okay its still a deathmatch though, but it mite change to a team deathmatch just 2 let you kno. I found my own server on the list internet only after pressing get new list twice, though. You can try this if u cant find my server
