SOF2 MP Test Demo Opengll subsystem problem
 

I need help i have a NVIDIA Vanta/Vanta NT graphics card/driver (whatever there called) with 256 mb RAM on a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ 1.53 GHz

my parents upgraded to XP finally but now SOF2 MP Test Demo dont work becoz of Opengll subsystem problem.

it worked before XP

and i had this happen to my room comp as well but I have NVIDIA GeForce 2 or sumthin and it was easy to find the right driver.

i also didn't know u had to uninstall first but i tried that and then it said restart and i did and it wasn't uninstalled


so it still doesn't work

anyhelp will be much appreciated

probably best not to ask how many warnings. just be more careful in the future.
now to your problem, first go to your device manager and select your graphics card. then uninstal the driver from the properies menu there. then restart. it may find the old driver upon restarting. but if you deleted the nvidia folder on your c drive you should be ok. now install the new driver.
it should work now.

Why on earth are you pursuing this cause? You been advised in more than one thread to buy the game. The last msn covo we had you said you would buy the game?

no its about gettin the game to work at all on my comp dosen't matter wat version it is (i will buy it when i find it in South Australia were i live i can't buy online as im 16 years old)

ill try wat u said goody i think the problem may also be the graphics card (NVIDIA Vanta/Vanta NT) i don't think there is a driver 4 it

AFAIK, all nvidia cards use the same drivers. Try Omega drivers, they're better.

do the Omega drivers work 4 NVIDIA cards?

I had a look goody how do u tell which one will suit a NVIDIA Vanta/Vanta NT? they just look like the different updates for each driver


91.31_winxp2kmce_international_whql.exe thats the one i downloaded which said it would work 4 Vanta off of NVIDIA.com but it said in the installation that it couldn't find the device 4 the driver but it doesn;t let u choose either it just exits

oh and wats the re power and the little bar and y does it say "I don;t spend enough time here" -> above my messages

open gl issues stem from your video driver not supporting it. You are using xp ( from what i see from a previous post), which means you may have a generic driver loaded. You need to get a proper driver and install it.

You can find the OMEGA drivers >>>HERE<<< But Read on please.


His last release date for Nvidia based Omega's was released on 04-06-05. This carries the very basic of foreware materials for SLI production. So at this moment IMHO i would not use his Nvidia based Omegas. If you are using an ATI card, I am all about his drivers.


You can find a proper set by doing as goody suggested in another post and go to Nvidia.com and downloading their official drivers.

the vanta was a old card and may not be supported in the new drivers.
having googled it the vanta used ver 2.13 wdm this is included in this dl.

btw rep pionts and all that are given by people to you. everything else can be changed in the control panel when you are logged on here.

remember though google is your friend. i found there are alot of drivers for the vanta. most are windows 95 and 98. so i presume it is older than the tnt2. i would seriously consider spending a small amount of money and buying a newer card. the card i have (bough it when it first came out and cost £70) is now arount £10 and thats the geforcefx 5200.
it would be a good investment. unless you have plans in the near future to buy a new machine.

nah didn't work so ive bought a router so i have internet on all comps now so i didn't fix problem but it doesn't matter coz i can still play sof2 and ill have sof2 full game in the next couple of days so everytihngs workin out.

i have that problem i deleted sof2 and i deleted uninstall to and i forget do uninstall . and now when i download sof2 agn and try install it say u must first uninstall and then u can install again. but the problem is that i dont have uninstall i deleted it:S
