Please help me i have tried everything
 

Ok heres the story, I made the mistake of having Admin Mod and Rpm in my sof2 folder. I was trying to set up the admin mod and could not get it to work but one day it some how managed to set itself up instead (I am not pulling your leg). Ever since when i run a server it will only show up under local no matter how hard i try to dedicate it to internet, it only shows up as local and my server name has UDP in front of it no matter what i do to try to change it. So last night i wiped all the sof2 stuff off my harddrive and reinstalled everything fresh copy and to my suprise it still does the exact same thing it was doing before. I am so baffled and so mad that the only thing i can think to do is completly wipe my hard drive and reinstall windows again. Please help me because if nobody has an answer to my problem then i gotta re format my harddrive. Anything would be appreciated. Thank You

yeah i use a router but i have it set up right and it worked right before. I have had a lot of people tell me to open the ports on my router but ive went to portforward.com and tried what they reccomend there. But i still cannot dedicate the server to internet it shows up under local like this:
UDP BOOM HEADSHOT!!!!!!

I have no clue about cleaning the registers. Can u please explain how to so i can give it a shot? Everything is worth trying right now. Thanks Jackthehammer

I would rather wait the response of other people before I tell you how to clean registers. There s a lot to wrong. Maybe someone else knows what the problem is.

Use a program like registry scrub to deal with your registry ...

Post your server cfg here so we can look at it. Make sure not to list your rcon password though......

Also ... so it isn't that long, use the spoiler tags so it doesn't take up a whole long page lol.

Ok now heres the end to a long and interesting journey. i tried cleaning my regestery but it did not help. I know my server config file is good so its not that. So goody and I went through it and came to the conclusion that not only my sof2 was messed up on my computer and that what i need to do to fix not only sof2 but my computer is reformat my C: drive and start from scratch.I appreciate everybodies help and paticence. I have to give a shout out to goody that guy really knows his stuff, and to file front for having sutch a good crew that understands hands on how to fix even some of the most odd problems. Thanks again to everyone. :bows:

just to clarify for those who are interested. it wasnt just sof2 that was messed up. alot of other stuff was going down as well. even the virus scanner wasnt doing its job.
forgot to mention last night m8. everything you back up to disc you should scan with your freshly installed virus software before you transfer it back.

Ok heres the latest, I counted my chickens before they hatched and now i wiped my hard drive and i still have the same problem. I dont understand how if i reformat my harddrive and reinstall my os and reinstall sof2 it can still be messed up and i have also ran into another problem. That problem is that i keep getting banned from servers for no reason when there isent even an admin in the server at the time. I dont know how you can be banned while you are playing if there is no admin in the server but it really makes it hard to play and have fun when the servers you play at ban you when there isent even an admin or a reason why. So i went to one of the servers web pages and it wont even let me talk to the admin it just says
banned IP Reason-_________________________ then it gives you an email address to write to if you think you have been banned for no reason and i have written to that email address more than once and it just returns your email and says that the email address is incorrect or refused. I guess there is only one thing left for me to do if nobody else knows what to do to fix my computer and that is wait for Soldier Of Fortune 3. lllllllllllooooooooooolllllllllll

Well... First ... why don't you post a picture of the banning. So we know what is going on ...Second, it is probably your disks if you have reformatted and reinstalled everything.... You are probably playing 1.03 if you are " getting banned for no reason " while there are no admins in the server, which would lead me to believe you are having an issue with PB.

I dont know what to do there. I am playing v. 1.00 with rpm v. 3.21 i havent played gold edition or goldrush in a while, So im pretty sure its not a problem with punk buster. Now as for a problem with my discs do u think that they are completly done for or do u think that there is a program i can use to wipe it completly??? P.S. It does show my Ip address when i go to the web page i just blanked it out. Thanks for all the great help.

you were banned. They don't want you on thier server. Or they banned an entire block of ips.
In either case, you'll have to find somewhere else to play.

That doesn't look like sof2 to me :/

Maybe you should try to start sof2 directly from the sof2mp.exe, rather than using dodgy programs.

protector system is a phpnuke addon ..... It bans and keeps banned ips off your site. So it seems like you have been banned from their website not the server ?

Did you get that picture from their website or their server ?

Hello All,
I recieved the ban picture from the web site but i am also banned from the server, it must be a mistake because they dont state a reason but either way i will have to find another server. But anyways do you know of a way to completly wipe my harddrive so that my sof2 files wont be corrupted. Any tips on the server are appreciated. Thanks NIHILISM

As i stated. If they banned you off of the server, they took your ip and input it into the PROTECTOR system of their website. That ban pic is from the PROTECTOR add on for phpnuke.

It may not be a mistake. Maybe you did something they didn't like. It is their perogative as to whom they have play on their servers.

Back up only your Player config and maps. Let everything else go .....
