Is there a way to uninstall gold patch with out uninstalling all of SOF2... if not is there a way to reinstall SOF2 without CDs, (there lost)?.. Sorry for stupid questions im computer illiterate
if you have a valid cd key ...contact raven with proof and send in 10 bucks for new cd's.
or.....find out what the gold path adds in. and maybe you can take it out
My 1.00 worked perfectly.. the gold lags like crazy (even tho my ping is good), and half the servers wont let in.... "Invalid .PK3 files referanced" and i miss my favoret servers in 1.00
1. Delete those 3 files: "update101.pk3, update102.pk3, update103.pk3" from C:\...\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix\base folder. 2. Replace "SoF2MP.exe" (1.03) with "SoF2MP.exe" (1.00) in C:\...\Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix folder. Note: This file: "SoF2MP.exe" is located in first CD in folder CD-ROM:\Base. If you have GOLD version, ask someone, who has 1.00 version of SOF 2, to send you this little file. It has only 1.46 MB (packed by WinRAR only 700 kb). Well, that is all. If you want to play GOLD again, just put those 3 files: "update101.pk3, update101.pk3, update101.pk3" back and replace "SoF2MP.exe" (1.00) with "SoF2MP.exe" (1.03). I use it to play 1.00 and 1.03 and it works fine. The only problem is, that it always delete all favorites. But it is better, than to have additional 2 GB on HDD. Note 2, lol: If you deleted those 3 files or did not backup "SoF2MP.exe", you will need instal GOLD patch. But if you played GOLD before, then after instaling GOLD patch, you NEED to update PB twice (by using pbweb.exe update) or you will get kicked.

well in addendum to his advice:
if you copy the servercache.dat file from 1.0 and 1.03 and save it somewhere else ( in a folder called servercache on your desktop) . each time you switch you can paste it into you main directory and have your favorites without missing a beat.
also i am pretty sure you can install the game to two different DIRECTORIES and have two shortcuts on your desktop one for each ..and you could have 1.0 and 1.03 run side by side. don't quote me on this
