can't connect to certain servers
 

There are a few servers in my favorites list that I cant connect to;they just get stuck on awaiting connection. These server's names dont show up, just their IPs, the gametype and number of players isnt shown, and I cant view the server info. I only want to connect to one of these servers; my friend gave me its IP, but cant connect :( . I know its not just happenin to the servers that I add by IP, because I ve added a few by IP that show up, and I know that Ive been into the other servers b4, just dont know wut they are, cause it wont show server name. The only thing that shows is the IPs and map name, Ive searched for them by map name, in the server list, but they dont show up:confused: . Hope that someone can help solve this prob.

It just means that the server is down, and it shows the map name as the last map the server was on :nodding:
Nothing to worry about, just wait for the serve to be rebooted, or delete the IP from your list if they don't :)

Yeah, I use to have the same problem. Sometimes all it takes is a reboot of SOF2 and it should work. :smokin:

Yea, tht prolly the problem, but I tried to connect when I knew that the server was up, but I couldnt connect. Rebooted, but same thing. I also noticed that when I reload the list the server will switch between different maps with differant amounts of people, like its showin whole different servers. Was wonderin if it might be a port problem?

Erm...what was the point in that?
Pure spam, and unnecassary language...

Anyway, have you tried a re-install? Keep any mods/configs/skins/maps that you want, delete everything else to do with sof2, and do a clean re-install.

Well I managed to make the servers show up and connect, except one, but the admin is on vacation so its prolly just offline. I dont know how I managed to get it to work but Hey, it all good:smokin: All I did was just deleat my old favorites and add all their IPs again.

if you get invalid .pk3 files, you don't have to connect to an unpure server, then a pure server, all you have to do is restart your SOF2, and connect to the same server. ALways worked for me

Well, it works either way, but I think it'd be quicker just to connect to another server, then you don't have to wait for the whole game to load then :)
