Default Screenfreeze/jumps

when playing sof2, sometimes my screen just freezes, after about 6 seconds or so it eventually goes back to the way it was. This problem is really annoying me as it really makes playing difficult. I know its not my connection as i have a ping of say 50 and my pc is new so i dont see any problems there either. Some help on this would be greatly appreciated even the possible cause of it.. Thanx in advance.

Just curious, do you know what your frame rate is.
And is v-sync enabled or disabled ?

FPS = 125 if thats what u mean by frame rate, maybe thats something different. As for v-sync i dunno what that is. BTW another thing that might have something to do with it is my brightness keeps resetting after say 10 mins of play. Anyway thanx for the reply. appreciate it.

I'm experiencing this as well. It seems like there is something running in the background because my HD is running crazy while I'm playing. My connection is good. Seems like some software problem. It only happens for the first few minutes. I hit ctr alt del when the games not running to see if anything is tying up my HD. Doesn' seem like it. Any help would be appreciated.

I think i may have solved the problem. I cleared my temporary internet files. Its been a while since i've done it (took 5 minutes to clear) and was just doing some maintanence work to see if the problem would resolve. It seems as tho it has. Try it out.

if uve definitely fixed it then just ignore this...

but i used to have exactly the same prob, except that it'd happen EVERY 6 minutes or so lol

after about a week i found out it was my clock frequency setting on my nvidia card, i overclocked it too high so i lowered it and presto, problem solved

having tried out numerous things it seems like some of my hardware is to blame as nothing seems to be wrong with the game itself. However this pc is brand new with an AMD 64bit processor 1gig ram and ati Radeon 9600 graphics card. This is really annoying me . Any suggestions on what i could do would be great, possibly if umone could tell me how to change my clock frequency id give that a go. Thanx.
