SoF II - mp_Kam2
 
I've been making a mod now for mp_Kam2 and I want to change the colors of the lights in the area of the red base. Normally the color of the lights are dark red but I want to change them to lighter blue for easier view. Could someone tell me where in the directory the image is that gives the colors, can't find them :(

Is that some sort of white walls hack? or do you just have terrible graphics.. lol

I believe this is impossible without modifiying the cgame code of from sdk. Doing this it would then not work with osp, roc, goldrush, rpm, adm or whatever mod you use.

I believe it is the cgame code which handles all lighting effects.

I made the walls white for easier view, nothing wrong with my vid card ;).
I don't use any other mod except for RPM but that can be changed aswell. Where can I find that cgame code?

edit: and no it's no hack ^^

You could decompile and alter it and recompile the map. But you would not be able to release it as kam2. As you said yourself you are doing it to see better so if you did release it as the kam2 map that worked with the normal map then it could be considered a hack / cheat as you would have better vision in that area.

I don't see easier view as a cheat because there are plenty of mods which have light maps/glowing enemies and stuff like that for better view. I even heard people use the fullbright command and I see that more of an hack than lightening a tunnel a bit. Anyway, I just consider it too hard and I'll just up the brightness abit. Thanks anyway for your replies :)
