CE, animation models? when i place a office chair or medical cart, or something else with the misc_model they just stand there. i can make them solid, but that's it. from a old map i have a few models saved, these models where made with a Gtk, and than the CE, (under r.mouse .b and at the top of the list, above client and door) when i open a map with those few models that i have saved from a original map (kam6). than they apear under the r.mouse.b CE. when i place for instance the office chair than in the game the chair will turn fast around when shot at. the pc monitor is breaking apart when shot at, (no brush with texture, the monitor is realy flying apart). just like in the original sp=map's of RAVEN. where do you use that CE (r.mouse.b) for, and how can i make the other models working the same? leon. |
they are effects, not models... look in base/effects/confuse_ed there are a lot of those, and then add the key//value "classname" "ce_something" (the name of the effect) and add "confuse_ed" "1" too... i think that will work... but not all of them are there :S eg, ce_furn_office_chair isn't there (used in kam6) |
that explanes a lot, those effect. because for instance the pc and it's monitor or keybord, they look like models but they behave as a effect by flying through the sky when hit. i will look more in to that, because a lot of games have textures that change when hit, so it looks like it's broken after a hit, but it's only a nother picture. whit this effect it's realy the hole model that changes and at the same time it animates, (by flying through the air for instance). (there's nothing greater than when your for instance in a office, shooting at some bad guys, and all that is standing in you path get's totaly smacked! great effect! when you like also demolition!) leon. |
yeah all the textures have damageshaders, textures they chagne too when shot! :P |
i'm sorry but i can't find the folder; EFFECTS in the BASE folder, you did say that the ce-effect where in base/effects/confuse-ed? leon SORRY, FOUND THEM ALREADY, THEY WHERE IN SDK. elon |
