Default Extremely simple map request

Right - all I would like is two reasonably small sky scraper roof tops side by side. I dont want them in jumping distance but I would like an invisible surface which you can run along and jump on to the building. I would like this to be at day time and nothing on the roofs except the concrete surface.

Thanks a lot

i don't know with editor you use, but you could take the CAULK texture. by asking this i asume you don't build your maps with it, and it is realy nessesary. i think you make your brushes, (buildingblocks) covert totaly with the texture of your choise. i mean, all the sides of the block have the texure. or not? because now, when you play your map, the game engine will build all the sides of your brushes, allso the sides you don't see, because they are at the backside of the block, or because they are side by side with other brushes. and by doing that it takes a lot more FPS (Frames Per Second). witch means that it slows your game down, and that meakes it impossible to play right when you have a big map.
so, look for the CAULK texture, you find it in a texture map, it is diffenrent in different editors. the Caulk texture you can't see, but the player can feel it!and when you want to make semi-professional maps in the future, than make the brushes with the Caulk texture, and than select the sides that will be shown at the player, and put only an that site the texture of your choise.
hope it is clear to you what i mean. when you have any more questions, you can always ask.
leon.

the invisble surface is better to be blockplayer, cuz caulk might cause some problems....

I would have some cables connecting the buildings instead of an invisible surface.

I was requesting someone made this map for me... I have no idea how to make them.

The reason I wanted invisible blocks is for 2 reasons. The first being I want a Matrix jump style thing. The second is I want to play it over LAN and dont want my mate to know how to do it

i can imagen that it's for you a litlle question, but that little question will take for others at least 1 our to build. and even than it isn't mutch of a map. but beside that i don't think that any mapper will leave his own work alone for this. normaly the mappers are all working on a own project, and they don't want to leave that work for some idear of another. when you realy like a map like that the best thing to do is make it yourself. i can hear you allready now, that you don't know how. but we all didn't in the beginning, and you will learn it faster than you think. i'm sure about that. and maybe you will find aloung this way a new hobby. believe me, i'm sure that when you have found out how it works, you will love to map.
so, download a editor and start building. it realy isn't that difficult. and when you don't know how, than i can help you with that. not me alone ofcourse, like now you can ask it at this or other forums. and the tutorials will help you to start.
so, try it, you will not be disapointed. for sure!!!!

the best thing for me to do is give you this adress;
Modsonline.com
there you will find all the download programs you will need to make maps, (dm and sp). also there is standing how to install them and work with them.
there are severel editors;

-GtkRadiants 1.2.11, 1.2.13 update, and 1.3.7.dev.
-SoF2SDK

i myself am working with the 1.3.7.dev for sp-maps,
but, there no tutorials for that one and it's mutch diffenret from the rest. so when you don't have worked before with ed. you can better choose one of the others. maybe the SoF2SDK is the best for you, because it's mutch quicker to work with, only the installation time is more. but all the tuts on Modsonline where specialy written for that one.
