.bsp to .map

Hello

I am looking for a good .bsp to .map converter, for SoF2 MP.
Me and my clan tried out some converters but they don't work and information of the .bsp is lost during conversion.
In any case, we haven't found a good working .bsp to .map application yet.

Can someone please help me find one?
We would like to mod mp_italy to put more windows into it etc.

Many thanks

i may be wrong, but i think they released the map file for this map, so there's no need for a bsp to map utility.

Though we would still like one for editing of other maps. :O

Editing of maps can only be done with the permission of the copyright holder. e.g the creator.

Also q3map2 compiler converts:
.map > .bsp,
.bsp > .ase,
& .bsp > .map

There's info on how to do this on the forums.

Here the command to convert .bsp to .ase:
./q3map2.x86 -convert ase /home/username/.openarena/baseoa/maps/mapname.bsp

Requires the Command line.

I have gotten feedback from my clanleader and he said your technique of conversion didn't work for him.

I think I'll look into the forums here on how to specifically convert .bsp to .map

The command given is for a Linux(using BASH shell) . So you'd need to modify the command slightly.

Probably to:
q3map2.exe -convert ase C:\"Program Files\SoF2\base\maps\mapname.map"

I'd suggest you do some research into how to execute & change directories in the Windows Command line tho.

Do you think I'm retarded or what? I'm a Computer Science student for f* sake. I don't need to learn all that basic DOS stuff. -laughs-

We have tried all of the command line possibilities and it does not work for us.
The conversion goes faulty. That's just the way it is. We need a good converter.

He was only trying to help you. If you think that spouting off at a member that does not know you or how much you know and who is only trying to be helpful will get you better assistance then you are wrong.
All it brings is this.
