Updating Maps Hello everyone, One of my clan members wants to take a crack at mapping. He wants to make slight changes to existing maps out there.(don't worry we will ask the author first). He is looking for a program to extract, uncompress the .BSP files of the compressed maps. Is there such a thing or is radiant the only program he needs? I have searched the fourms and really don't know what he needs. Thanks in advance......... |

Re: Updating Maps What maps ? |
Re: Updating Maps There is no 'program' that does this. Basically you just unpack the pk3 with winzip, and then decompile the map with q3map2 by using a program like q3map2toolz and then use the following parameters: -convert -format map so it will look like "C:\pathtoq3map2\q3map2.exe" -convert -format map -game sof2 "C:\pathtomap\map.bsp" Easy as pie. |
Re: Updating Maps Thank you thats what I was looking for. |
