Default Saving/BSP

I just started mapping and I got some help from Chris Z on msn and he gave me a tutorital for just a single room to start off. Right now I'm using RTK Radiant but in the tutorital hes using an older version I think. But I just have a quick question about saving the map and converting it to BSP.

Well first where should I save the map? Because when I save it just anywhere i can't seem to find it. Also it seems to be saving as quake 2 maps for some reason

Also the tutorital says to click on BSP and then click BSP Full Vis, but all i have under BSP is Q2 -vis and a whole bunch of other stuff thats about Quake 2! Also when I click Q2 -vis it gets an error

Sorry if it's confuzing but its kind of hard to explain...

Please answer ASAP, thanks,
||G||

EDIT: btw i ment for this thread to be in the MAPPING forum sorry

What version of Gtk radiant do you have? If you dont have 1.4 ide saggest getting it. Can be found here.

http://soldieroffortune2.filefront.c..._Radiant;32171

Other than that Sounds like you need to set it up for sof2.
1.Open Gtk radiant
2.Press the P key it should bring up a new window titled "Gtk Radiant Preferences"
3.where is says "Select the game" change this setting to Soldier of fortune - double helix.
4. Click ok at the bottom to continue.

Hope this helps m8.

yes I have 1.4. And I already did select SoF2 when starting up Radiant, but I still did what you said and it didn't change anything. Any other ideas?

Thanks,

In your base folder you should have a folder named maps, if not make one and save them there
