Sims 1 not playing on Vista

Hey, I'm trying to get my Sims Double Deluxe onto my Windows Vista and i've tried everything I can think of. I've looked at another thread that had this problem and they said to, in the game properties under "privilages", tick the box that says "Run this program as an administrator" but when I went to tick it it's faded out so that I can't. What do I need to do in order to tick the box?!

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Well I think i can help that, or give some advise.

First off, make sure you have all] of the requirements, this includes the RAM, graphics card, and etc.; don't just assume you have the right requirements because it's a Vista.

Try that, and if not, maybe cleaning your disk and re installing it. You never know, that might fix it!
