Having a little trouble with the game... I made a mistake and agreed to help Freedom take out the nearby Duty encampment. Now, of course, all the Duty guys I run into anywhere are hopping mad at me, making it pretty tough to get to the barkeep. But that's not all. Somehow I've gotten on the wrong side of the Loners, too. So every formerly neutral Stalker out there now won't be satisfied until I'm food for worms. I can't walk a hundred meters without someone starting to shoot at me. Even people in the Bar I'd accepted quests from - they now want me deader than dirt! Dunno how this happened - the only mod I'm running in Faiakes v. 2.4.
I've opened the game_relations.ltx file, hoping to be able to edit out some of this ultrabad mojo. But that file is hopelessly complicated. I have no idea what numbers to change or what to change them to. Can anyone provide a little help?
Hmm, I made that change -- switched it from 0 to 5,000 -- but it makes no difference. I am still a marked man. The first loner I see starts taking potshots at me. Everyone in the Bar tries to turn me into a lead-filled puddle of goo.
Set to 20,000. No difference at all. I am universally loathed, public enemy number 1 in the Zone. Could it be something else? Very strange, as I haven't done anything to deserve this kind of reaction - not from other Stalkers, anyway.
Just expanding on what Headcrab357 has said - try setting your relation to them as friendly as well. If you changed the value he suggested, then they should see you as friendly, but you'll still see them as enemies. To see them as friends, you have to change this number:
Set that to 5000, as well as the value headcrab mentioned above, then load up and see if they've forgotten your misdeeds. With both values set to 5000, hopefully you'll see them as friendly, and they'll see you as friendly.
No joy. A slight improvement - lone Stalkers now seem to be neutral toward me again toward me - but the yahoos in the 100 Rad Bar still want my head on a stick, and of course all the Duty guys are still gunning like mad for me. So basically, getting back to the Barkeep means fragging every last living soul in the Bar, including those who I've completed quests for. I just don't understand why they're still so intent on killing me but the Stalkers aren't.
