Default Jerky movement around fire barrells

Hi guys!

As the thread title says, i'm getting jerky movement around fire barrells in the game. This has been happening since i upgraded my pc, had an Opty dual core and 8800GTX, now have Q6600 & GTX.

Now, according to fraps my frame rate is barely dropping below 59/60 (i play with v-sync on) but onscreen movement is jerky whenever i'm around a fire barrell. Every where else its silky smooth with full detail settings inc dynamic lights. Now this worked fine on my old Opty system but not on my new one. i'm running fully patched and the latest drivers (169.32).

Does anyone have any idea how i can fix this? i'm about 1/2 way through the game and really wanna get back to it but don't want to resort to turning v-sync off as tearing REALLY bugs me!

All help greatly appreciated!
