Help! Game Freezes!

Hey, so im new to this website, And I have read some posts and you guys seem to know a lot of shit about PC/STALKER so i was wondering if you could help me out! So I have been gaming for a while I'm 17 years old and I recently pre ordered the game STALKER. So I picked it up today and I was pretty pumped needless to say, I installed it and it everything seemed to work, I played about 2 minutes of it untill the game froze up and I couldnt exit out or nothing so i had to shutdown, I lowered the graphics to minimun and then i played, I got a little bit further until the first mission where you meet up with some guys and you need to find "Nimble". It crashed once again and I couldnt exit out so I had to manually shut down. I tried once again on minium quality, crash! so Im thinking wtf is going on does it have to do with my Graphics card er something I have no idea about PC specs or nothing. I just bought a new PC as my old PC was getting to junk and the PC guy told me I could run top end PC games for about a year or two so I def had to buy it. So I bought Midevil Total War 2, a few months ago and it worked fine and it never crashed or anything. So I was wondering WTF could be the problem? It must be my PC

i think your vid card is probably the problem, prob meets below min specs and my ati has been having issues too. Drivers i guess, but the whole game has lots of bugs and freezes and crashes to desktop. be sure to check out the main website too. their forums might be quite useful to you. this game makes medieval total war 2 look like mario bros when it comes to what it does to your vid card

hey thanks, I went to this website http://www.systemrequirementslab.com.../analysis.tmpl

it showed me that I could run this product. I dont know if its very accurate but idk, Under the fail to reccomend part it was my shitty Video card, but it also said that I passed the minumum requirements for the Video Card part too.. So I have no flippin idea wtf is going on.. im going to try and play it later and i hope for the best.. any more help would be greatly appreciated!
