mod crashes before before menu

i didnt seem to have a problem with any mod before but tonight i opened a mod and it crashed before it got to the menu screen. i thought it might be a bug in the RC1+freeplay start merger i got off the GSC forums, but i tried just plain freeplay start and it crashed much the same way. i tried vanilla but it worked, can someone tell me what is going on with the mods?

edit:sorry about shoddy title, but im up late and my perception (i think) is off, way off.

I'm not familiar with the freeplay start mod, but go into:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-SHOC\logs

And open the first text file, then post everything after FATAL ERROR.

sorry for waisting all your time. I fixed the problem. I kept all the mods that werent in use in the main folder but just named them their real names but didnt move them. I kinda feel stupid
