| If i recall correctly you can delete the \gamedata\sounds\characters_voice\ folders and it removes all the russian sounds so the game goes back to using the english sounds from the .db files. Note: Instead of deleting them i believe you can just rename the characters_voice folder to say characters_voice1 folder and it wont use the sounds, just in case you want to get the atmosphere back. |

| I wanted to reduce both the delay between blowouts and the time it takes for each phase of the blowout. Basically I want them twice as often and to last half as long. After banging my head against the wall for an hour, I finally remembered that leaving and re-entering a level will reset some of the variables. That got the first two lines Time and Time2 working but the rest seem useless. Eventually I just started hacking zeros off them with no effect. I reloaded a saved game (@ the Bar) that was not experiencing a blowout, ran back to Garbage, turned around and re-entered the Bar (reloaded the level). Then I moved to the Bar proper, pitched my camp and in less than an hour I had my first blowout. After it was over I camped again, and was hit with another, just like it is supposed to (Time and Time2 work). Here is what I just tested and the blowout still took about 2.5 to 3 minutes. Spoiler: I looked around and everyone says that the above should result in a blowout that only lasts a few seconds. This is an extreme test, but proves that it is not working for me. Is there a corresponding amk script file that I have to alter as well? edit - I just tried making all the shift# = 0.0 and it still had not effect (reloaded level too). Cheers!

| Thanks for the tip Supernatur4L ![]() Hope to get a chance to check this out and hoping to find a method to activate it on and off without having to renaming folders, just like choosing a language for any game. Iirc there are many English speaker fans of Stalker and OL, so it certainly could be a useful feature. |

| Well I have seen many people claiming that system.ltx does not require a restart and the following proves this is wrong. Spoiler: Reloading did not work, and leaving the level did not work. Starting a new game did. The blowouts were happening every two seconds like they were supposed to.

| Supernatur4L this doesn't just remove the Russian voices Kanyhalos decided to use in this version of OL. This method only works if your willing to give up all the audio fixes from the beginning of the modding community and the work they have done, the first of I recall being started by Mtang with Annoying Audio. Iirc Kanyhalos uses similar fixes, if not some variation of the original AA mod. Thanks for your suggestion, hopefully someone will know how to fix this. |

| Hey were is the line at for getting the AI's to stop throwing granades, I can see my detachment group of 8 is not responsaible enough to toss them and every time we get into a conflict, the enemy wipes them out with 1 or 2. I feel like I am leading them to their death like a trater, we never seem to make it to the mission location, and its ok if I have to adjust the sys.ltx file I rather do a restar then keep on going like this. The game is worth it...

| Hi, I've finished the storline with OL 2.1.1 but I can't find a few of the new weapons.Couldja point me in the direction of the PKM, OTS-33, Saiga-12c Kriss Super V, ZM LR300 ML and the Steyr TMP please. |

SOC is awsome, its all about choice really, like the real ending. the real ending you choose is the real ending for you, regardless.....so there are no fake endings..
