Thanks guys,

Dextaa - Oblivion Lost already mods the particle file, which is why they are incompatible.... If your using the version of the minigun I uploaded it will not crash. Also, here is a post from the download thread....

Quote:

FFxSTALKERx - yes, I guess OL added a new particle effect for their minigun then, which the game cannot find in my file. It could be added to my file, or easier, just open the minigun ltx and find the particles it uses and change them to match an assault rifle, so maybe use :

flame_particles = weaponsgeneric_weapon05
smoke_particles = weaponsgeneric_shoot_00

I cannot be sure that will fix it completely though, OL may have changed or added more particles than just the minigun.

Epic - Thanks for feedback as usual, yes I could do something with the muzzle flashes, I am just undecided as to what to do.... bigger flash & more smoke?? Any thoughts on anomolies? I had a thought with the burner to remove the distortion and create smoke instead (increasing fps for some, and making them a more difficult encounter).

Some WIP screens of the burner anomoly.... it makes it a different encounter, you cannot just look for the distortion. Also, because the particles seem to run better than distortion it clears up some lag many people get around camp fires & burners!!

This is a file for EggChen. If you're not EggChen, DO NOT OPEN IT!

Just kidding. Do what you want, but it's not that interesting. :p

Ok buddy, here is the OL particle file with Gosuke's P90 shells merged into it. Should work perfectly :naughty:

No other particle enhancements are included. If anyone wants my particles with OL and Gosuke compatibility check out version 2 of Particle Enhancement on the Stalker Files site.

Much appreciated! I guess I just reference to the particles like gosuke has done it (same names)? Oh, and is it only P90 or the PKM, too?

Re: Particle Enhancement v1.0 Discussion

Yeah, Gosukes P90 calls its own shell casing effect, I just created one in the OL particle file with the same name and folder path (obviously copied the effect itself from Gosukes particle file), so just keep his particle references as they are.

PKM had no specific particles, so that will be fine. It used the same as most other weapons in Stalker.
