help please (this is proabably a simple fix)
 

i extracted the files to the gamedata folder i made in the stalker folder. I try to play the game without modding anything and it dosnt work. (it crashes) I take the gamedata folder out and it works fine. I put the gamedata folder in the bin folder and it works unitl it trys to load a new game and wont get past there. All im trying to do is edit the starting pistol you get. if anyone help it would be greatly appreciated.

did you edit the fsgame.ltx file so it uses the gamedata folder?

yeah i changed the false to true. i have read that order may matter when extracting the database files and i have also read you dont nee to extract them all. (i extracted them all, since then i have done a fresh install and havnt touched it; i have been waiting for help) Oh also i installed the 1.005 patch (i havnt put that back on either)

It has to be in what you changed then. I would double check your work

i put the extracted files in the folder and didnt mod them to make sure they work (i have modded other games and from my expericne it is good to check everything as you go along) and it didnt work

i just got it to work......aparently, when i typed in true, i went a realigned everything, i didnt do that this time and now it works. so thanks!
