a little of both, really.

hes bad in the sense that its not really that imaginative, not different enough cos the blood isnt really all that noticable, the skin coloring is essentially the same, which doesnt make him too different for a 'boss.'

Koshei is too slow for a human thats "lost his humanity." if anything, he should be faster, considering that hes more primal (like the snorks).

and hes not really all that tough to kill, in all honesty.

so yeah~ thats my input~

Thanks for the support Dexxtaa he definitely needs to be faster and more apparent as a boss, I've been thinking that maybe he should not be a controller at all, after all he was first to get to the center of the zone, and i doubt he did that without some serious armament, even though he may have developed psi-like powers for arriving at the NPP, i think he may be better presented as a human in a modified exo-skeleton, with weapons as well as a psi-attack.

To make him stand out from other exo-skeleton stalkers why not have him in a different color, most O.L. skeletons seem to be quite a vivid green or a metallic grey, why not use a reddened/rusty skin instead for Koshei, lose any helmets or visors, and change his facial features to say have the pearly eyes of an ocular albino (near white iris, maybe the bi-product of his heightened psi-abilities) and massive facial scarring to represent the injuries he WILL have taken getting to the NPP and surviving there.

With these cosmetic changes and the boost in speed and armament i think Koshei will not just be more recognisable as a boss, but certainly worthy of being the end-game boss. As he stands at the moment he's very much an anti-climax, he's not recognisable, easy to kill, very slow, and just a mere annoyance. If you were to move his position as suggested in my previous post back to the start of the portals (but only appearing after you have been through them all) he not only will be an wanton surprise, he will also serve a purpose... I.E. it's going to be real hard getting back to the front of the NPP to head back through Pripyat in free-play...

For example i fancy the prospect of knowing i have to fight my way through all those monolith at the portholes, getting through them, then quite happily heading back to the sarcophagus thinking all is well and i can escape to pripyat then to the bar, only to be set upon by some heavily armed mutant-stalker that i really have to think about how to remove because the monolith attacks took away all my bandages and med-kits... That would make Koshei a worthy adversary and being placed near where you enter the portholes is logical as it would mean that he could be deemed as trying to ensure you cannot escape the NPP (after-all he can't... so why should he let you?)

There will be shitload of mutants in the NPP when you are starting to make your way back to the Zone, so do not worry about "hardness"
Anyway he can be more unique.

I disagree a little.
I don't think he'd be in an exoskeleton. I think if he was the first, it would have been around when the zon was first created, so he'd be wearing old typish stuff... Kinda like a snork.

Or occasionally "invisible" like the bloodsucker (no I really mean it). That could be cool. And make him invulnerable when he's not in the flesh, if that would be possible.
